Well, my regular family Thanksgiving was just kind of “Meh” this year. I was in a really bad mood, and like I said before, it just feels sort of lonely and sad sometimes on the holidays. I don’t know why. Because I am a depressed person I guess.
But I digress.
Today was our “Crewsgiving” or “FriendsGiving” as I like to call it – when all of our friends get together and have a potluck Thanksgiving.
The food today was AMAZEBALLS. Nate made a rosemary infused turkey with probably a pound of butter, there was also an apple barbeque whole chicken, candied yams, mashed potatoes, stuffing, scalloped potatoes, lasagna, green bean casserole, and dessert? Oh my god. Rum cake, cheesecake, pumpkin brownies, regular brownies, and my personal masterpiece, THE GOOP. Which needs its own post one day. Should have thought of that while I was making it earlier.
Anyway, this happened:
I have been zoned out on my couched totally stuffed and unable to move since I came home hours ago. I’ve been crocheting a project that I just started for a friend and I am really excited about it, watching Sons of Anarchy and not paying as close attention to it as I should.
It’s going to be a lazy Sunday tomorrow, and I hope it’s great because so far I’ve had an amazing weekend home with Elise, it’s the most time I’ve spent home with her in a long time and it’s good for the soul. Tomorrow’s all about fun and cuddling and good times.
And? A NaBloPoMo wrap up post. Because if I don’t fail tomorrow… I win. 🙂
